My last post talked about Facebook’s Mobile app opening geo-aware features. What if news had that same concept? When it comes to breaking news, the importance to the consumer is “does it matter to me?” If the event was in your neighborhood, wouldn’t you want to know? According to The Daily Finance, The New York Times plans a daily web newscast to stream at 11am Easter Time. Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr has already mentioned that a printed version of the New York Times may end up being an artifact of old technology. A “remember when....?”.
